Generosity Store

We call on the community to donate their unwanted clothing and linen to us. We promote the ONE YEAR RULE. If you haven’t worn it or used it in a year then you most probably don’t need it, and you can rather pass it on to us, so that we can do good with it. We do one of three things with the donations.

• We will channel it, or pay-it-forward where we see need and where people cannot afford to pay for it.
• The surplus will be cleaned, sorted, priced and displayed so that we can realised it in money. In other words we monetize it, so that we have funds available to help in situations where there is a need other that clothing. We sell it via our Generosity Store at discounted prices to the public. We also make it available to the informal traders at a price that makes sense for them to build their own small sustainable business. Many mothers are informal traders that try to make a living from selling second clothes to the communities around them and we want to assist and empower them.
• we channel all unfit for reuse clothing and linen to our recycling division where we shred the textiles and produce value added products such as soundproofing or insulation boards or we convert it in upholstering or decorated panels. We are part of a circular economy and we recycle, upcycle and reuse.

We will also buy clothing from the public that can not afford to donate it.
